SO SCHNELL

Dominique Bagouet

"So Schnell" was created in 1990 for the inauguration of the Opéra Berlioz in Montpellier. The last work of Dominique Bagouet before his death, this piece explores the life of the choreographer and more particularly his childhood. The musical score mixes music from Bach with sound games made up of recordings of industrial hosiery machines (his grand-father, father and brother all worked in the textile industry). The costumes and set are inspired by the pop art and especially the work from Roy Lichtenstein emphasizing the ideas of wefts, radical colors and a certain humor.
