LANDSCAPES

Ludvig Daae

Four dancers, with different backgrounds, let the changing and unpredictable world that cultural workers are in right now influence and take place in the process. The four performers combine their knowledge and examine where their experiences overlap, and what distinguishes them. The group learns from each other and allows the work to develop organically until a common landscape emerges and they can drip in and out of each other's worlds.

"Landscape" shows that we are all very own, unique and complex - but at the same time always part of the same huge community.

The audience meets the dancers in a flexible landscape - a place where walls suddenly move. William Rickman's soundtrack is the fifth dancer - an energy that both leads and escorts you on the journey. As an audience you choose how you want to approach the experience: from a place, or if you want to follow sound and movement.

I see "Landscape" as a house built by many people. I am the architect, but when you walk through the house you will find many fingerprints and see that the house was built with various different techniques and traditions, all of which represent an individual path through history,
