"A Compilation of Attempts" is a solo in which Morgane Nicol both choreographer and performer. In an airy staging, she invites the viewer to take a look inside her computer as well as her thoughts. Starting from a research on the format of the list and its artistic aspect, the creative process led her to create a kind of self-portrait in the form of collage. This piece is composed of 4 distinct parts in which Morgane plays with the codes of the traditional scenic representation with a touch of lightness and humor to get closer to the audience. By dancing, writing, singing, she naturally mixes humor, intimacy, transparency, contemporary aesthetics and the desire to maintain proximity with the public. Stripped of all frills, it is all in simplicity and through various attempts that she is inspired by the history of her dance and her personal history to share this scenic moment with the spectators.
